Neches FCU hosts Veterans Day 5K and raises over $4,000

Neches Federal Credit Union’s seventh annual Veterans Day 5K raised over $4,000 that will support the Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group. The funds were raised from the 5K race, seven-mile bike ride, and one-mile walk/run that the credit union hosted on Nov. 11.
Neches FCU employees were encouraged to participate in their choice of the three events. Donations contributed by the Neches FCU board of directors and staff were matched by the credit union.
Over 220 participants from Neches FCU and Veterans from the Port Neches Fire Department participated, and many posted photos on Neches FCU’s Facebook page.
“We are extremely proud of this annual event and salute those who have served and sacrificed to protect our country,” said Jason Landry, president/CEO of Neches FCU.
