Cornerstone’s Willard hits the media circuit

This week, CUInsight published an  op-ed by Cornerstone League President/CEO Caroline Willard. The piece details the credit union movement’s need for relevance and scalability to ensure the future of credit union league infrastructure.

Willard also sheds some light on the reasons the League pursued a merger with Heartland Credit Union Association, ways in which Cornerstone is adapting to changes in the financial services landscape, and the benefits of the merger.

Additionally, Willard sat down with Randy Smith, host of The CUInsight Experience Podcast. Smith was part of Willard’s climbing group up Mount Kilimanjaro, and they discussed the experience as well as the merger.

“What started as an adventure, turned into becoming a better global citizen,” Willard said when discussing her takeaways from visiting the growing African continent and supporting Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs).
