Cornerstone celebrates 35 years with Mike Delker

Cornerstone League celebrated a significant milestone this week. Senior Vice President of Credit Union Relations Mike Delker has been with the league for 35 years.

His team, who affectionately call him “The Delker,” surprised him with “Delker Squad” T-shirts and shared stories and laughs in honor of his long-time leadership.

President/CEO Caroline Willard said, “We’re lucky to have Mike on the team. Many of you know him—and he knows you too, from your children’s names to your favorite barbeque! Besides serving our members in the special and unique way that only he does, it’s genuinely fun to work with him.”

“I’ve worked with Mike for 18 years now,” said EVP/Chief Advocacy Officer Jim Phelps.

“Our engagement with credit unions is that much stronger with Mike at the helm.”

And from The Delker himself: “Every day, I’ve considered myself lucky to work with this organization. I get to work with credit unions in a movement I passionately believe in, and I truly believe we’ve hit our stride. After all these years, we’ve found the winning formula. I’m more excited now than ever about our future.”

Retired Cornerstone EVP/CFO/CAO Karen Hart, who worked closely with Delker for many years, also stopped by to provide some fond commentary.
