Duncan, Okla.-based Endurance Federal Credit Union awarded three local charities with funds that were raised at the 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

The tournament was held at the Territory Golf and Country Club on May 16 and benefited Children’s Miracle Network and United Way of Stephens County.

“We are very proud to be able to give back to these local charities each year,” said Chris Bower, CEO. “These are great charities that help the people in the communities we serve. We strive to live out the credit union motto of ‘people helping people’ by giving back each year.”

Each charity received $4,969.24 for their current campaigns.

A statement provided by the credit union said the tournament was a success due to the support and generosity of the participants and sponsors.

Endurance FCU also awarded two local seniors with $1,000 scholarships. This was the 14th year for the Devon Strickland Memorial Scholarship and the 5th year for the Wynona “Nona” Driskell Scholarship.

The criteria for each scholarship are based on academics, extra-curricular activities, and an essay.

“We are excited to be able to give back to these deserving seniors,” said Chris Bower, CEO. “And we are very proud to be involved in the schools in the communities we serve.”

Each senior was awarded at the school awards ceremony and were recognized on EFCU’s social media pages.
