Education First FCU awards $38,000 to SE Texas high school seniors

Education First Federal Credit Union has awarded $38,000 in college scholarships to a class of 2022 high school seniors in Southeast Texas.

As a credit union founded by teachers more than 70 years ago, supporting education has been a pillar of the credit union’s existence. Since the scholarship program began in 1999, Education First has awarded a total of $625,000 in scholarships to high school seniors in its field of membership.

EFFCU is a community credit union based in Beaumont with $538 million in assets and serves more than 34,000 members in six counties.
