Education Credit Union announces new business development specialist

Amarillo-based Education Credit Union welcomes Tiffany Sharpensteen as its new business development specialist. Sharpensteen comes to ECU with 13 years of banking and credit union experience ranging from financial education to branch management.

In 2019, Sharpensteen was awarded Most Valuable Leader by the AACCU Leadership Academy. Sharpensteen is a committed community volunteer and has served in various capacities with organizations such as Junior Achievement, Amarillo Business Women, Amarillo Angels, and Journey Church.

Sharpensteen has earned a Credit Union Development Educator designation from the National Credit Union Foundation and a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor designation from CUNA. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in mass communication and from Amarillo College with an associate degree. She is also pursuing a Master of Business Administration with West Texas A&M University.
