Cornerstone Foundation Grants Available for 2022

Cornerstone Foundation  grants 

 

Cornerstone Foundation grants for 2022 are available to apply via the Foundation website.

Credit Union Development and Chapter Grants

  • Application deadline: Feb. 25
  • Grants Committee meeting: March 16

Credit unions may apply annually for a Credit Union Development Grant, which includes but is not limited to one or more of the following requests:

  • COVID-related expenses, such as personal protective equipment, video conferencing license, technology to serve members remotely, and professional cleaning after exposure
  • Staff and volunteer training and education opportunities
  • Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) Program
  • Planning sessions
  • Equipment for credit union branches and offices
  • Hardware and software upgrades
  • Digital banking
  • CDFI application assistance
  • Hispanic outreach
  • Audits and assessments that are not required annually or biennially

Chapters may apply annually for a Chapter Grant for the following requests, which include but are not limited to one or more of the following requests:

  • Speakers
  • Planning sessions
  • Community outreach programs

Southwest CUNA Management School Scholarships

  • Application deadline for scholarships: April 29
  • First-, second-, and third-year students are eligible.

Financial Capability Grants

These grant requests are accepted year-round. Credit unions may apply annually for a financial capability grant, which includes but is not limited to one or more of the following requests:

  • Community financial capability outreach programs
  • Save to Win program
  • Financial education curriculum
  • Experiential learning programs for financial capability
  • CDFI application assistance

Disaster Relief Grants

Phase I disaster relief grant requests are accepted year-round and are available to credit union staff and volunteers. Disasters are identified as fire, wind, hail, or flood damages to an individual’s primary home and contents and vehicle(s).
