Cornerstone League has long supported international engagement with other credit unions and cultures around the world, and now to support this ongoing initiative we’ve launched a web page dedicated to sharing the good works and stories of credit union people from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.
One such story comes from Tarrant County’s Credit Union President/CEO Lily Newfarmer who experienced a “short but intense” Learning Journey to Rome and Bologna, Italy, thanks to Mike Mercer, former president/CEO of the Georgia Credit Union League. Mercer periodically exposes credit union leaders to cooperative cultures and practices abroad so they can gain valuable insights into the global credit union movement.
Read about Lily’s Learning Journey.
Organizations such as the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions enable credit union advocates to expand their reach and help transform lives and communities. Learn how you can get involved in international engagement opportunities and make connections across the globe.
