Celebrate ICU Day at North Texas Sister Society Meeting Featuring Int’l Speaker Beth Welsh

In celebration of International Credit Union Day, the North Texas Sister Society will feature Tail O’ The Bank Credit Union CEO Beth Welsh from the United Kingdom at its Oct. 21 virtual Zoom meeting, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CT.

Welsh’s presentation will focus on Britain’s credit union sector. This will be an outstanding opportunity for attendees to discuss the differences and similarities across the global credit union sector.

Over the past 15 years Welsh has become a key voice for credit unions in Scotland and the UK. In March 2019, she established the WOCCU Global Women’s Leadership Network in the UK. She was awarded the Minerva Award for the Empowerment of Girls and Women at the Edward Filene Credit Union Awards in November 2019.

She has served on the Scottish Policy Panel and helped to shape the credit union policy agenda for Scotland. She is a long-serving board member of Glasgow Social Enterprise Network, which plays a pivotal role in shaping the sector in Glasgow and beyond. She is also the treasurer for Advice Direct Scotland.
