Cornerstone Foundation recently launched an initiative to attract Financial Capability Service Providers (FCSPs) to the Cornerstone tri-state region: Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Modeling after Cornerstone Resources’ vetting system, the Preferred Financial Capability Service Provider initiative will help streamline the selection process and enable credit unions to give back to Cornerstone Foundation through the partnership’s referral agreement.
Organizations that enter into such agreements with Cornerstone Foundation will be considered and promoted as a Cornerstone Foundation Preferred Financial Capability Service Provider.
Knowledge of Financial Education (KOFE), a product of Consolidated Credit, is Cornerstone Foundation’s first Preferred Financial Capability Service Provider. KOFE is an online financial wellness benefits platform designed to connect users with the tools they need to be financially successful. It uses a three-pronged approach to financial education: Self-Paced Financial Education, Classroom Learning, and One-on-One Coaching.
“Our credit unions expressed the need to simplify the process of selecting a financial capability provider for their members and staff,” said Cornerstone Foundation Executive Director Courtney Moran. “Selecting a poor-fit provider can cost the credit union time, money, staff, and resources. Our improved vetting system will streamline that process.”
Moran also said the initiative aligns with the Foundation’s mission of empowering people to improve their financial well-being, as well as its vision to be the premier resource for building better financial futures.
“We have done all the homework that goes into making this type of decision within the credit union and we hope credit unions see the Foundation as their trusted source,” she said.
Cornerstone Foundation will host an informational webinar on Thursday, April 15 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. CT for credit unions to determine whether KOFE is a fit for them. Register at the following link.
