League and Foundation ready to help CU staff, volunteers with disaster relief grants
With Hurricane Laura hitting the Texas Gulf Coast, the Cornerstone Credit Union League and Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation are standing by and ready to help. The Foundation can help credit union staff and volunteers when disasters strike, including severe storms and tornadoes, as well as fire, wind, hail, or flood damages to an individual’s home or vehicle.
“When something like a hurricane occurs, the Foundation is here to help get credit union staff and volunteers back on their feet,” said Foundation Executive Director Courtney Moran. “Because of the generosity of our credit unions and their commitment to the ‘people helping people’ philosophy, we are able to respond with disaster relief grants.”
If you have any updates about your credit union, please send them to DisasterNotification@cornerstoneleague.coop.

The National Credit Union Foundation recently launched a new CUAid Disaster Recovery app to streamline and connect credit union organizations during emergencies. The application serves as a matching service for credit unions to source and share emergency resources, such as generators and mobile branches, to get credit unions back up and running as quickly as possible.
Visit the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store to download the app. The CUAid Disaster Recovery app also has a desktop version. For questions about the CUAid app, please send an email to email@example.com.
