Brazos Valley Schools CU celebrates 65 years at Annual Meeting

Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union celebrated 65 years of member service during its Annual Meeting on April 11. Using a birthday-theme throughout, BVSCU members and their children enjoyed fun and games in the “Kid Zone” along with a traditional spaghetti dinner.

Over 450 members and staff attended the event. Kids worked their way through a series of activities to earn punches on a card that allowed them to step inside the “Cash Cube” where each had a chance to win dollar bills, gift cards, and other prizes. One of the activities had kids guessing how many “Pennies in a Jar” with the winner, London Wooten, taking home a jar with more than $67 in pennies inside.

The adults competed in a golf putting contest for cash, as well as learning more about BVSCU’s accounts, insurance products, and digital services programs. Members also had a chance to drop off old documents at the shred truck. Nearly a dozen members won door prizes during the evening.

“Our Annual Meeting is always a great time of fun and connection with our members, many of whom have been with us for decades,” said CEO Yvonne Kershner. “This is a great way for us to say thank you to them for their support.”
