Austin-based A+ Federal Credit Union donated $14,153 to 20 different schools and organizations throughout Central Texas to pay school lunch balances for "A+ Gives." Fifteen of the schools' overdue balances will be paid off completely.
"We're excited to give back in such an impactful way to the schools and communities we serve," said A+ FCU CEO Kerry A.S. Parker. "This was a great way to kick off A+ Gives and the celebration of our 70th anniversary."

The donations were made as part of A+ Gives, a series of 70 different days throughout 2019 with scheduled acts of kindness. Monthly themes range from volunteering at nonprofit organizations to organizing food donations to providing veterans assistance.
