The Cornerstone Leadership Academy has been designed with a clear focus on building leaders within our credit unions and elevating local leaders through growth and engagement. The program promotes the overall industry, ties new leaders closer to the credit union movement, and provides mentoring and leadership philosophy discussions.
CLA gives credit union professionals the opportunity to get involved, make connections, and gain management and leadership skills. Participants also increase their knowledge in a wide range of areas, from government relations and compliance to branch operations, lending, and information technology.
New this year, the League is transitioning its original Cornerstone Leadership Academy into a virtual format to provide further development opportunities. This online platform allows students the chance to network beyond their chapter, with engagement across the entire Cornerstone region.
To successfully roll out this virtual program, Cornerstone needs volunteers from each chapter. By participating, you’ll receive excellent training for presenting the program in 2022, as well as experience serving in a leadership role as a dean, a facilitator, or a mentor.
