Bankruptcy Series

Join Tom Sharp and Sharon Sjostrom, practicing attorneys with advanced knowledge of bankruptcy cases, as they help you gain a better understanding of bankruptcy and then progress to a detailed examination of specific, common scenarios for credit unions in Chapters 7 and 13. Topics include:

  • Successful handling of Texas Chapter 13 member bankruptcies
  • Critical proof of claim procedures, forms, redaction, and more
  • Reaffirmation advice, such as forms completion and negotiation with debtor and debtors’ counsel
  • Key collateral recovery methods, such as dealing with the automatic stay in bankruptcy

Register for the Bankruptcy seminars

Part 1: Nov. 17
Part 2: Nov. 19

Collections Series

During this series, Mike Blalack and Rob Woodcock, experts on repossession issues, teach you how to identify operational errors and correct them with proper procedures and forms. More specifically, you’ll learn about:

  • What it takes to be in full compliance, including required letters, notices, and forms
  • What not to do, what to do, and how to do it
  • Legal issues impacting delinquent vehicle loans, repossessions, and collateral dispositions

Register for the Collections seminars

Part 1: Nov. 3
Part 2: Nov. 5

The cost of each two-part series is determined per internet connection. Note: You must register using the email address you will use to access the online sessions.

The series will not be archived, so consider allowing multiple people on your team attend the virtual series and take advantage of the cost savings. In addition to the ability to share the event with your team, you’ll save time away from the credit union and avoid travel-related expenses.
