The Amarillo Area Chapter of Credit Unions demonstrated the spirit of the holiday season with the heartwarming Festival of Gifts Holiday at House Divided in Amarillo. By raising $1,500 for the Cornerstone Foundation and $840 for the Salvation Army, the chapter supported the Cornerstone Foundation and brought joy to two children in need through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Project.
“This is such a great event not only to get all the Amarillo area credit unions together but to raise money for a good cause,” said Quintin Marquez, Amarillo Area Chapter president and marketing manager for City Federal Credit Union. “I know that a lot of credit unions in this area see each other as family, and we are all trying to build the movement of folks using credit unions for their financial livelihoods.”
The chapter’s efforts embody the meaning of holiday giving, bringing light, joy, and tangible support to those in need.
