Credit Union Champions Raise $600K at Bourbon, BBQ & Bands

Last Friday’s inaugural Bourbon, BBQ & Bands came alive with the sounds of live country music, the aroma of mouth-watering barbecue, and the finest bourbons. More than 300 attendees donned their best cowboy hats and boots, creating an unforgettable ambiance that brought the spirit of the Wild West to life. And thanks to our system partners and more than 20 credit unions, Cornerstone raised nearly $600,000.

 “The success of this event demonstrates the generosity and commitment of our community to support those most in need,” said Cornerstone League President/CEO Caroline Willard. “I’m inspired to see our credit union community continue to cooperate to make a difference.”  

Among those in attendance at the historic River Ranch Stockyards was a young boy named Levi and his family. Levi was born without functioning kidneys and has received treatment at CMN Hospitals in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas. He provided a living reminder of why we give our time and treasure. (Once the bands started playing, Levi and his four siblings also provided some stellar dance moves!)
