Wednesday, June 3, 2015 6:25 AM

Crystal Jonas

The challenges facing young professionals demand honesty. At the Cornerstone YP "Walk this Way" Conference, Aug. 20-21 in Galveston, Texas, credit union professionals aged 35 and under will engage in conversations that go unheard in other settings and walk away with a sense of unity with other young professionals.

Sign up now, before early bird registration ends July 22.

For instance, take a trip to Galveston (the beach!) and engage with keynoter Crystal Jonas, the president of Tap Your Genius, Inc., an international company that specializes in developing people in the areas of employee engagement, emotional intelligence, and leadership.

Want some great news? You're ahead of the game. Jonas advises finding work that is deeply meaningful, and, hey, you chose credit unions—the embodiment of financial democracy. And they chose you. You have a golden opportunity now to make a positive, lasting difference in the lives of others.

In Jonas' presentation, she'll show you how to raise your self-awareness so you're clear on how you're perceived by others. (That could come in handy.) Her highly interactive program will give you just what you need to elevate your attitude and actions to make sure you're always professional and able to positively influence your co-workers—and profoundly serve your members.

Just who is Crystal Jonas? No wallflower.
As a consultant, seminar leader, and executive coach, Jonas has won four national awards for training, including “Accelerated Learning Skills” for the US Air Force Academy. She has spoken to more than 120 audiences, and her clients include Coca-Cola, Isagenix, Baxter’s Laboratories, and Kraft Foods. Before founding her company, Jonas served in the US Air Force, the only female officer in an F-16 fighter squadron in a base outside of Madrid, Spain. After graduate school in Boston, she was stationed at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, where she served seven years as an assistant professor teaching communications and leadership.

Will You Join Your Colleagues?
If you're a young credit union professional who's tuned in to the cooperative movement, plugged into the CU philosophy of people helping people, and ready to demonstrate what the credit union difference means in your community, don't miss out on this opportunity.
