Young Professionals: Leadership and Staying Engaged
Thursday, July 2, 2015 6:30 AM

Christopher Morris, director of communications for the National Credit Union Foundation, will be closing out the Young Professionals "Get Stuff Done" Conference in Galveston, Texas, Aug. 20-21.

In his session, “Taking it Home: Leadership Lessons and Staying Engaged,” Morris will draw from research and his own experiences with the Foundation, Credit Union National Association, and the World Council Young Credit Union People program to give attendees the tools and guidance to “get stuff done.”

Morris is a CUNA Credit Union Rock Star, a Credit Union Times Trailblazer 40 Below, a former member of Filene Research Institute’s 30 under 30 group, and a winner of the World Council Young Credit Union People scholarship. He is also half of the “musicians with a mission,” the Disclosures. Morris and Chad Helminak, Filene’s impact director, formed the Disclosures as a way to teach youth about credit unions and financial literacy in a hipper, more fun way. Their latest album, “The Secret to Being Rich,” was released in December 2013.

If you're a credit union professional aged 35 and under who's tuned in to the cooperative movement, plugged into the CU philosophy of people helping people, and ready to demonstrate what the credit union difference means in your community, don't miss out on this opportunity.
