Yantis Federal Credit Union is proud to be a supporter of the Special Olympics. They encourage their employees to volunteer to help with local events. Yantis FCU Member Services Director Susan Rogers recently represented the credit union for this very worthy cause.

Rogers is a member of the Pilot Club of Quitman, and each year the club sponsors a track-and-field meet for the Special Olympics of Texas at Quitman. As part of the Yantis FCU's community service efforts, they allow Rogers to help with the Special Olympics along with other events the Pilot Club of Quitman holds throughout the year, such as a chili cook-off, Pilot Extravaganza, and a bicycle rodeo for first and second graders in Yantis, Quitman, and Alba-Golden school districts.

"The Special Olympics holds a special place in my heart, as I have an aunt who was diagnosed with polio at the age of five," says Rogers. "She is now 68, and I see the struggles she goes through daily. So helping with the Special Olympics gives me great joy. The warm fuzzy feeling you get from these kids and the expressions of excitement on their faces makes it all worthwhile. I want to thank Yantis Federal Credit Union for all their support and allowing me to represent them in these events."

The Pilot Club is an international organization that prepares youth and young adults for service, encourages brain safety and health, and supports those who care for others.

About Yantis Federal Credit Union
Yantis Federal Credit Union is located in Yantis, Texas. The credit union was the vision of H.E. Coker and a handful of Yantis residents.
