Wright-Pratt CU CEO Doug Fecher to Speak at New Ideas Institute
Monday, August 17, 2015 6:30 AM

Doug Fecher

What can credit unions do to make themselves indispensable in the lives of members? Douglas A. Fecher, president and CEO of Wright-Pratt Credit Union, will provide an answer during his presentation, "It's What We Do," at this year's New Ideas Institute in San Antonio Nov. 1-3.

Fecher says, "One thing is certain. The challenges members face in 2015 are completely different than they were just 10 years ago. If we are to remain relevant and indispensable, we need to meet members where they are today and not simply recreate yesterday’s cooperatives with a fresh coat of paint."

In addition to his many other leadership and board positions, Fecher chairs the National Credit Union Roundtable and sits on the Governmental Affairs Committee of both the Credit Union National Association and Ohio Credit Union League. He is also a member of the Filene Research Institute Research Council, a credit union think-tank headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin.

During his presentation, Fecher will challenge your thinking, ask about things that keep you awake at night, pull at your heartstrings, and maybe even use a little music to stimulate our entire industry to think differently about what credit unions need to do to remain relevant in the lives of members.
