What One CEO Says about the Managers Roundtable

2015 Managers Roundtable

CEOs and key management staff always look forward to Cornerstone's annual Managers Roundtable to share best practices and strategies. This year's event takes place in Branson, Missouri, Sept. 23–25 at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing.

Linda Stanton, president and CEO of Union Pacific of Arkansas Federal Credit Union, has been attending the Managers Roundtable since the first year it was opened up to mid-level managers, and she says she'll most definitely continue to attend in the future.

"I always loved being able to network and visit with managers from all over the state, and now as members of the Cornerstone Credit Union League we have the opportunity to network with managers from Texas and Oklahoma as well," Stanton says.

Stanton says the event is invaluable for so many things. She praises the format, saying, "There are always great speakers discussing the latest hot topics, and we have an open discussion at the end where everyone has a chance to ask each other questions or discuss issues, products, or trends they have questions about."

But that's not all. Stanton says, sometimes it's just overhearing a conversation and thinking, "Wow, I didn't know that!"

Why should other CEOs and key managers attend the Managers Roundtable? "Because Branson is a great place to visit," Stanton says. "There's something for everyone. The Landing is literally steps from the hotel, and it's full of shopping, great restaurants, or a stroll along the lake. All that, and being able to learn and network."

Here's just a taste of the topics you'll find at this year's Managers Roundtable:

  • ARCUPAC Golf Tournament on Sept. 23. Register for the golf tournament today.
  • Network with other CEOs, presidents, and managers from credit unions in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.
  • Share insights and information on the most current trends in the credit union movement.
  • Learn about the latest hot buttons and examination issues in an NCUA update session with two regional supervisory examiners.
  • Gather information on marketing to today’s largest generation:  the Millennial Generation
  • Learn about the necessity for political engagement and the importance of active chapters in our credit union industry.
