Volunteers’ Forum: Pierre Cardenas Talks Innovative Lending
Friday, June 7, 2013 6:55 AM

Sitting around the conference table on Tuesday morning, you might find yourself asking the following questions:

  • What works, and what doesn’t?
  • Is indirect the only answer?
  • What are the best programs to implement?
  • How do we get away from this crazy "rate driven" promotional mind set of always having to be the lowest to get any business?

If you just mentally checked off “yes” to any of these, then you don’t want to miss Pierre Cardenas’ session, “Innovative Lending Ideas,” during the 2013 Volunteers’ Forum.

This will be a high-powered discussion on looking at best practices, innovative solutions and industry trends that can help you get out of the “rate” driven marketing mentality and build lending programs for the unforeseeable future. The session will also cover optimizing current infrastructure, maximizing remote delivery channels and building internal processes that help your credit union become a lending machine.

Mortgage, business, direct and indirect consumers, home equity and small ticket retail financing are all open for discussion at this session.

Cardenas, an industry expert, will be interjecting some best practices he has seen in his travels to credit unions across the country.

The 2013 Volunteers’ Forum takes place June 19-21 in San Antonio. For more information or to register, please visit
