Friday, October 23, 2015 6:20 AM

Frank Halstead

The Cornerstone Credit Union League Volunteers Council is hosting a complimentary webinar called "Tech Trends for Your Credit Union: Emerging Issues You Need to Know" on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 2:00 p.m. (CST). All credit union staff are invited.

Frank Halstead, chief information officer at First Service Credit Union, will present an overview of the cybersecurity threat using real-world information from confirmed data breaches. Afterward, there will be a discussion on some of the most recent regulatory emphasis on IT security, followed by a list of things to look out for in governing this highly complex and fast-moving aspect of the credit union.

Halstead has more than 15 years of experience in managing technology for the financial services industry. He joined the leadership team at First Service in 2012. His role as CIO includes the management of the credit union’s technology infrastructure, data security, and business continuity planning. He also oversees the company’s contact center and electronic services department.

Halstead has a BS in technical management from Devry University, an MBA from Redlands University, and is a 2015 graduate of the Southwest CUNA Management School.
