Vicky Salkeld

Vicky Salkeld has been chosen as the new president of the Arkansas Credit Union Association. She will replace Reta Kahley, who retires at the end of this month after nearly 30 years in the credit union industry.

Salkeld has 33 years of experience working with Arkansas credit union professionals and volunteers, during which time she has facilitated an estimated 400+ planning sessions. She's also been a Southwest CUNA Management School faculty team member in asset liability management for more than 10 years and is a Credit Union Development Educator.

Salkeld has met with many Arkansas state and federal lawmakers, and she's been a strong supporter of ARCUPAC and CULAC.

“This is a well-earned promotion for Vicky, and we are thrilled to recognize her service to credit unions,” said Cornerstone Chief Advocacy Officer Jim Phelps. “The relationships with credit union leaders that she has built over the years, combined with her passion for strengthening our political capital, will serve her well as Arkansas Association President.”

“I’m very excited and truly honored by this promotion,” said Salkeld. “I’ve dedicated my life to credit unions for 33 years, and I think working with Arkansas credit unions is going to be great.”

The Regular Session of the 91st Arkansas General Assembly will convene on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, to be followed by the Arkansas Legislative Luncheon on Jan. 11 at the Capitol Hill Building.
