UP Arkansas Federal Credit Union is sponsoring the North Little Rock History Commission’s Train Tree this holiday season. The lighting ceremony for the tree was held on Dec. 1.

UP Arkansas FCU Board Chair JP Bailey, CEO Linda Stanton, and VP Karyn Davis attended the event. The credit union provided the funds to build the 12-foot-tall tree that is one of only two of its kind in the country. The tree will be on display at the NLR Heritage Museum throughout the holiday season.

In addition, the museum is featuring an exhibit of the history of the railroad in the development of North Little Rock. The credit union, some of its staff, and several of its members made contributions to the exhibit.

UP Arkansas FCU Train Tree“UP Arkansas FCU was honored to be asked to sponsor the Train Tree and to be a part of this amazing exhibit of our city’s history," said VP Karyn Davis. "The history of the railroad is a major piece of the heritage of our credit union and our city. We hope that the people of North Little Rock and all of central Arkansas take advantage of the chance to see this display.”
