Unity One Kidtoberfest Delivers a Spooktacular Time for Children

Unity One Kidtoberfest

Bewitching hour fell upon Unity One Credit Union on Saturday, Oct. 24, as the North Tarrant branch lobby was overtaken by ghouls, ghosts, goblins, and more for the annual Kidtoberfest event.

The highlight of the event, a science show by Mad Scientist Fort Worth, dazzled and entertained the attendees with foggy dry-ice storms, a special “burp” potion, and make-at-home slime kits.

“We took the fear out of banking for kids with this event. Teaching them that they can come into the branch and have fun is an important step in learning to be financially savvy adults,” said Kathy Jones, North Tarrant branch manager.

Attendees were also treated to a haunted house, photo booth, face painting, balloon art, and a hotdog eating contest.

About Unity One Credit Union
Established in 1927, Unity One Credit Union served the employees and families of the BNSF Railway for 70 years. However, after transferring its corporate headquarters to Fort Worth in 1998, the credit union expanded its field of membership to include other non-railroad companies, organizations and individuals. Today, anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Fort Worth, Blue Mound, Saginaw, Haslet, Keller, Colleyville, Bedford, North Richland Hills, Southlake, St. Paul, MN, and Kansas City, KS, may apply for membership. Unity One CU has seven branches to serve over 30,000 members nationwide. For more information about Unity One Credit Union, visit www.unityone.org. Think outside the bank.
