Unity One FCU's Online Banking System Upgrades Give Financial Freedom to Members
Thursday, April 9, 2015 6:55 AM

Upgrades give access to A2A and P2P payment options

Unity One Credit Union of Fort Worth, Texas, announced the updating of their online and mobile banking systems. These upgrades give members greater access to their accounts, both online and on the go. New features include an account-to-account (A2A) and person-to-person (P2P) transfer service.

Members can use the P2P service to request payments from anyone or make fast, convenient payments anytime, anywhere using their preexisting Unity One checking or savings account. The A2A service allows members to move money between their Unity One account and external accounts.

"The launch of our upgraded online and mobile banking systems represents another step forward in our continued effort to provide our members the financial freedom they have been requesting," said Unit One President Gary Williams. "The ability to send electronic payments to another person using only their email address or mobile phone number is the wave of the future. We are happy to provide our members with this exciting new service."

The upgraded online and mobile banking systems launched to members on March 24, one week after the credit union launched its new website. The app is currently available in the Android and Apple app stores, with a Windows app available soon.

Established in 1927, Unity One Credit Union is the oldest credit union in Texas and served the employees and families of the BNSF Railway for 70 years. After transferring its corporate headquarters to Fort Worth in 1998, the credit union expanded its field of membership to include other non-railroad companies, organizations, and individuals.

Today, anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Fort Worth, Blue Mound, Saginaw, Haslet, Keller, Colleyville, Bedford, North Richland Hills, and Southlake, as well as St. Paul, MN, and Kansas City, KS, may apply for membership. Unity One CU has seven branches to serve over 30,000 members nationwide. For more information about Unity One Credit Union, visit www.unityone.org.
