United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) has been named the preferred credit union in the annual Southwest Times Record Reader’s Choice competition. The Southwest Times Record is a daily newspaper in Fort Smith, Arkansas, serving 10 counties in western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.

“We are deeply appreciative of the trust placed in us as the number one credit union,” said Market Vice President Noel Sanger. “Our members and our employees are the force behind this organization, and without them this success would not have been possible.”

It is the third major accolade UFCU has received in less than one month. In September, United was named the Benchmark Winner in the Arkansas Business Best Places to Work competition, and the winner of the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Outreach Award competition for Michigan-based credit unions.
