United FCU to Open New Branch in Alma, Arkansas
Friday, April 17, 2015 6:50 AM

United Federal Credit Union will celebrate the opening of its Alma branch next week with a series of special events starting this weekend and culminating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the grand opening on Thursday, April 23, 2015. The Alma branch is located at 630 Highway 71 North, Alma, Arkansas.

UFCU will be meeting and greeting Alma residents at the Spinach Festival on Saturday, April 18, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Stop by the UFCU booth to meet your new neighbors and pick up a free goody bag. UFCU also brings a live broadcast by KMAG radio to the festival between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to ramp things up.

The celebration continues on Monday, April 20, when the Alma branch officially opens for business. Come inside the branch if you have time and pick up a free donut and a cup of coffee between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Or simply swing through the parking lot and you will be handed your treat.

This is the big day! The grand opening celebration starts at 11 a.m. and includes remarks by local dignitaries, a performance by the Alma High School Marching Band, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments and—you won’t believe what happens next! Don’t miss it!

“I’ve lived in Alma for several years and know what a great place it is,” said UFCU Branch Manager Starlette Accurso-Owens. “We want Alma residents to come out and enjoy the events whether they are members or not. We promise it will not be your typical grand opening.”

In addition to the Alma branch, UFCU also opened new facilities in Springdale, Arkansas, Reno, Nevada, and Niles, Michigan, in recent weeks. A branch in Hendersonville, North Carolina, will open this summer.

“We are committed to growing our footprint throughout Arkansas and other regions, and we’re really excited to be moving into Alma,” said UFCU Marketing Vice President Noel Sanger. “Wherever we go, we pride ourselves on being good neighbors and contributors to the community.”
