Union Square CU Helps Make Miracles; Donates $12K to Support United Regional Health Care System
Wednesday, March 1, 2017 6:55 AM

Miracles still happen! Union Square Credit Union made a $12,000 donation to United Regional Health Care System, the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

Union Square is a proud supporter of Children’s Miracle Network. Each year the credit union actively fundraises for CMN with several different initiatives. In an effort to include members, the credit union sells seasonal CMN icons in the lobbies of all four of its branches. The credit union also offers an annual Skip-A-Pay promotion that allows members to skip one loan payment by making a donation to CMN during the months of November and December.

Credit union employees also make personal contributions to CMN through an internal fundraiser called CMN Jeans Day. On the first Wednesday of every month, Union Square employees can wear their Credit Unions for Kids shirts with jeans in exchange for a $5 donation to CMN. Union Square President and CEO John Barad said, “Union Square has been fundraising for Credit Unions for Kids for many years, and it has become a tradition in which employees and credit union members enjoy taking part!”
