Time to Advocate! Register for the Texas GAC
Monday, February 2, 2015 6:35 AM

If you want to learn how to make a real difference for credit unions, you won't want to miss the Texas Governmental Affairs Conference at the Hilton Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas, on Feb. 9-10. That's only a week away, but there's still time to register.

Texas Credit Union Department Commissioner Harold E. Feeney has been slated to speak. Feeney has been commissioner of the Credit Union Department, which oversees the safety and soundness of state-chartered credit unions in Texas, since his appointment in 1996. He's a strong advocate of the state credit union system and preserving the innovation and flexibility of state-chartered credit unions.

Credit union advocates will have the opportunity to show their commitment to the credit union movement at the Texas GAC. Not only will advocates get to network with their colleagues and learn what's on this year's legislative agendas in the Texas Legislature and on Capitol Hill, they'll also have the opportunity to visit in person with their local representatives.

Will you be one of those shaking the hand of your lawmaker?

You could be! Register today.
