Tickets, Sponsorships Available for National Foundation’s Wegner Awards Dinner

Two Individuals and One Program to Receive CU’s Highest Honors at Dinner

NCUF DinnerCredit union leaders and supporters can now purchase their sponsorships and tickets for the 29th annual National Credit Union Foundation Dinner Presenting the Herb Wegner Memorial Awards. The dinner will take place on Feb. 27, 2017, at the Marriott Marquis in conjunction with the Credit Union National Association Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, DC.

Sponsorships and tickets are available online at or by mail with the deadline of Feb. 3, 2017 to purchase. There are a variety of sponsorship and ticket levels for this premier event including different benefits associated with each.

Denise Gabel, chief operating officer of the Northwest Credit Union Association, will be returning as the evening’s emcee.

“Every year, we can honestly say the Wegner Awards Dinner gets better and better,” said Gigi Hyland, executive director at the National Credit Union Foundation. “For the 2017 dinner, expect an even more memorable, entertaining evening. You’ll laugh, you’ll be moved and of course, leave inspired after celebrating this year’s amazing Wegner Award recipients.”

The awards ceremony celebrates the highest national honors in the credit union movement. The 2017 honorees are:

  • Outstanding Individual Achievement: Stan Hollen, retired President/CEO of CO-OP Financial Services
  • Outstanding Individual Achievement: Maria J. Martinez, President/CEO of Border Federal Credit Union
  • Outstanding Program: The Cooperative Trust from the Filene Research Institute
