Three Women Honored by FAA Credit Union
Monday, June 15, 2015 6:50 AM

FAA CU Prize Winner 1FAA Credit Union awarded three women with special prizes. The credit union created a forum via social media, inviting members of the community to nominate a woman who has made an impact in their life. Three women were chosen as finalists from the many submissions received and those women each received prizes ranging from $125 - $250.

In honor of Mother's Day, the Woman in Your Life contest was open to the community and encouraged participants to submit stories of why a woman they know deserves some pampering. The entries ranged from tireless mothers to widows and caretakers, making the decision a tough one. The winners were decided by the public, allowing those who nominated them to invite their friends and family members to vote.

FAA CU Prize Winner 2One nominee, who is a young widow, was described as "Strong, selfless, and hardworking; giving no complaints and wanting no sympathy." Another nominee's husband stated, "She encourages me to take risks and believes in me through all of my challenges." Two of the winners didn't even know they were nominated, making the prizes surprises!
