Three Cornerstone League Young Professionals Selected to 'Crash' CUNA's 2014 Government Affairs Conference
Wednesday, February 5, 2014 6:50 AM

Joshua Atkinson, risk specialist with United Community CU (Houston, Texas); Joey Griffith, compliance officer with Communication FCU (Oklahoma City, Okla.), and Noel Sanger, market vice president with United FCU (Fort Smith, Ark.) have been selected as the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s young professional representatives to "Crash" and attend the 2014 Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Government Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington D.C., Feb. 23-27.

Cornerstone, CUNA and the Cooperative Trust - a young professionals group through the Filene Research Institute - have partnered to choose up to 51 young credit union professionals from each state and D.C. to take part in the Crash event. In addition to the core schedule of GAC events, Crashers will attend exclusive speaker sessions and explore opportunities for young adults to help promote credit unions locally and nationally.

"It's important that we provide our young credit union leaders with experiences like Crash the GAC that will help them to grow our industry for years to come," said Dick Ensweiler, Cornerstone CEO. “At Cornerstone, we fully understand the need to engage and empower this generation of current and future leaders, and are pleased to be able to provide this opportunity”.

Each crasher is provided a stipend for the GAC from the Cornerstone League, and will also receive a GAC conference registration from CUNA.

The “Crash GAC” event is just one of the many initiatives the Cornerstone League provides to engage and empower young credit union professionals throughout the Cornerstone League region.  For more information regarding these initiatives, please contact Mike Delker, SVP Credit Union Relations at
