Your Presenter: Michael Armstrong
Michael ArmstrongMichael Armstrong is a lifelong resident of Arkansas who first entered the world of financial services his sophomore year at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark. After graduation, he moved to Central Arkansas and held positions ranging from personal banker to vice president in large and smaller community banks. Armstrong has attended a wide variety of leadership and management courses and is formally trained in commercial banking.

During the Great Recession, Armstrong changed career paths and focused his attention on K-12 public education. He spent four years as a middle-school classroom teacher and two more as business manager and CFO of Arkansas school districts. The itch to return to financial services was too great, and in July 2015, Michael accepted a position at Alcoa Community FCU after striking up a friendship with his CEO, Steve Brown, through Rotary. Michael has received his MBA in 2005 and his Master’s in education in 2011.
