Texas Trust CU Earns Carat Award for High-Impact Marketing Campaign

Texas Trust Credit Union won the coveted Carat Award and the Diamond Award, from the Credit Union National Association Marketing and Business Development Council. The Carat Award recognizes the credit union marketing campaign that achieves the greatest impact out of all the Diamond Award winners.

Texas Trust received both awards for its successful One Million Brighter campaign, which marked the $1 million milestone of Texas Trust's Spirit Debit Reward program. Through Texas Trust's Spirit Debit Reward card, five Texas school districts have collected one million dollars in reward money since the inception of the program.

The card transaction that took the program to this landmark level was scored in late November and celebrated at a community-wide event at the University of Texas at Arlington College Park Center. It was attended by thousands of cardholders, including students, parents, faculty, and administrators. The festivities featured activities from each school that benefits from the Texas Trust Spirit Debit Reward cards.

"Honoring credit unions in 30 categories, ranging from brand awareness to website, social media to mobile marketing, credit unions and individuals that receive these awards represent the very best of the best in their profession.”

Award winners were recognized at the council’s annual conference. Terri Albright and Shelley Carlson from Texas Trust Credit Union attended and accepted the award from CUNA.
