Texas Partners FCU Puts Their Money Where the Miracles Are
Wednesday, December 17, 2014 7:00 AM

On December 10, 2014, on behalf of the entire membership and employees, representatives from Texas Partners Federal Credit Union conveyed a check to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the amount of $12,100.

The donation was made possible through a variety of fundraisers. Beginning in May and wrapping up in October, members and employees took part in silent auctions, candy sales, jeans days, BINGO, scavenger hunts, rummage sales, and many more fun events.

Five years ago, Texas Partners made a commitment to raise $50,000 in five years for Children’s Miracle Network. Including this year’s donation, a total of $55,726 has been raised.

“Central Texas is blessed to have a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital as part of our community,” said Shelley Carlson, vice president of marketing for the Texas Partners FCU. “Our membership is passionate about raising money for Children's Miracle Network because we are very aware of the great care provided to our local kids since 100 percent of the money stays local.”

“The four Texas Partners branches (Temple, Belton, Killeen, and Copperas Cove) set their 2014 combined goal at $10,000, and, as you see, the employees and members answered the call to action and gave above and beyond,” said Jennifer Williams, philanthropy coordinator, Scott & White Healthcare Foundation. “This donation will help local children get the medical care they need close to home.”
