Texas 12 Launches Website for CU Young Professionals
Tuesday, April 16, 2013 6:40 AM

The Texas 12, a young credit union professional initiative created by the Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) in 2012, has launched a web site,, which strives to serve as a central repository of news and information for the upward mobile young credit union professional.

The Texas 12 wants to make it easy for young credit union professionals to connect with one another, as well as become more engaged in the movement.  Visitors to the site will learn how they can get more involved, including how to become a designated young credit union professional (YP) and a credit union young professional chapter delegate. The site also features a blog, forum, and photos of past Texas 12 activities. A calendar of activities is also available on the site.

Mike Delker, TCUL senior vice president, says the Texas 12 worked alongside TCUL staff to develop the site. Delker says he’s impressed with the overall design and functionality of the web site, and applauds the commitment of the Texas 12 to keep this initiative moving forward.

“Attracting and retaining young professionals to our movement is a priority of TCUL,” says Delker. “Through initiatives such as the web site, the Texas 12 is playing a key role in helping us accomplish this.”

The Texas 12 was created to help catalyze change in the system and spark positive growth in our community.   This young credit union professionals group is bringing a fresh perspective to the table, and is injecting a new level of energy and excitement.
