Tarrant County CU Donation
Tarrant County’s Credit Union donates $1,255 to the Humane Society of North Texas on Jan. 9, 2017.

Throughout the year, money is collected through Tarrant County's Credit Union’s "Charity Is Good" savings account program, which gives member accountholders the opportunity to give back “rounded-up dollar amounts” from purchases they made using their TCCU debit MasterCard.

This year, the funds collected equaled $1,255, which TCCU donated to the Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT). Additional funds were collected through over-the-counter donations and fundraisers.

The HSNT is the largest and longest-standing nonprofit animal rescue and adoption organization in North Texas. This is the second consecutive year that TCCU has selected HSNT as the recipient of these funds.

“HSNT appreciates the support from the staff and members of Tarrant County’s Credit Union," said HSNT’s community outreach coordinator Peggy Brown. "None of our programs would be possible without the support of the community and partners like TCCU. We would like to thank Tarrant County’s Credit Union for their ongoing support.”

TCCU Business Development Coordinator Melissa Burleson works hard to build relationships with worthy community organizations, delivering on the goal to be a strong financial institution and a valued and respected community partner.

“We’re so thankful that our members support the Charity is Good Program," Burleson said. "The Charity is Good Program, introduced in 2015, continues to provide a convenient way for members to give assistance to furry friends in our community. It’s a pleasure giving to the Humane Society of North Texas."

Throughout the year TCCU coordinates with other organizations and credit unions on projects and initiatives, seeking to be a positive change in the lives of those that are being served.

Tarrant County's Credit Union is an $82-million credit union serving more than 10,000 members throughout Tarrant County, Texas. TCCU operates four branches located in Fort Worth, Hurst, Lake Worth, and Arlington.
