Still Time to Register for Upcoming IRA Seminars

The Cornerstone Credit Union League continues to accept online registration for its upcoming IRA Basics and Advanced seminars. Credit unions can attend one or both seminars. Presented by Deborah Crawford, the IRA Basics and IRA Advanced seminars will be held Oct. 10-11, at League’s headquarters in Farmers Branch.  

The League is also offering an IRA Seminar in Oklahoma City Oct. 23-24. However, this seminar is presented by John Baptista Jr., a well-known training with more than 35 years of experience in the financial industry.

The League’s IRA Basics seminar in Farmers Branch covers the basic elements of IRAs.  Attendees will receive a review of the Traditional IRA, Roth IRA and Roth Conversions, Education Savings Accounts, Simplified Employee Pension Plan, SIMPLE IRA, moving and changing IRAs.  The Advanced IRA seminar covers everything you need to know about IRAs, including compliance, auditing and reporting.

The League’s IRA Basics Seminar in Oklahoma City will offer among other things an understanding of the history of the product, the different types of IRAs, how not to get overwhelmed with the various forms, basic reporting and much more. The IRA Advanced Seminar addresses the most important numbers with IRAs and Health Savings Accounts, as well as understanding periodic payments, figuring RMD, death situations and beneficiary options, excess contributions and much more.
