The Small Credit Union Workshop is **FREE to member credit unions under $50 million in assets for up to two attendees from each credit union and only $50 for each additional attendee. Lunch will be provided for all attendees.

The workshops are open to all small credit union staff, directors, and volunteers. Credit unions affiliated with the Cornerstone Credit Union League are welcome and encouraged to attend any of the workshops.

Get the Most Out of Your Lending Strategies: The 3 Rs of Lending
Instructor: Dr. Paul Withey. See bio.

We all want to grow loans. Making loans are fun, rewarding, and can be easy. We just want more of them and to be effective with our lending programs! Effective lending involves Risk, Rate, and Reward. Together, we will discuss our unique hunger for risk, how to use rates effectively (and NO not promoting rates – let’s promote payment), and Reward for both the member and the CU – all while keeping the process of making loans fun, rewarding, and easy. When the 3 R’s come together, we create Win-Win-Win V8!

Accounting: Now and the Future—What You Really Need to Know
Instructor:  Pamela Blevins. See bio.

There has been some major changes in the accounting area that may be affecting your credit union, as well as some even bigger changes that will happen in the near future.  The time is now to prepare for what is expected today and what to expect in the near future.  Come learn about the recent changes that have already been implemented, the common occurrence that could lead to an audit exception, 2017 Examiner hot topics, and what you should be doing now to begin to prepare for the CECL requirements. We will also be discussing how to ensure you are selecting the best type of audit for your credit union and some changes to the Credit Union Resources’ audit products that could end up savings you some big money.
