Stay within the Regulatory Bounds at TCUL’s Compliance, Audit & HR Conference
Thursday, April 18, 2013 3:25 AM

Staying one step ahead is critical in the face of ever-increasing credit union rules and regulations. During Texas Credit Union League’s (TCUL) Compliance, Audit & Human Resources Conference June 19-21 in Austin, credit unions can get the information and tools necessary to stay in bounds when the regulatory game becomes intense.

One of the highlights of this year’s session is an all-encompassing pre-conference workshop. Todd Sherpy of CURES LLC will present “CFPB on the March: Dodd-Frank and Consumer Regulatory Changes.” During this four-hour workshop, Sherpy will take a look at the newest rules from CFPB on loan originations, appraisals, RESPA and TILA changes (including documentation and escrow requirements), and Regulation E rules.

During the workshop, Sherpy will also:

  • Discuss new rules on real estate lending,
  • Address what to expect throughout the rest of 2013, and
  • Highlight liability areas to keep in mind, including CFPB’s focus and how to protect your credit union.

The theme for this year’s Compliance, Audit & HR conference is “Navigating the System.” The three-day conference is designed to empower attendees with the tools and information they need to broaden their knowledge, develop their unique skill sets and expand their professional network.
