Texas made a number of legislative changes in the last five years that may impact your credit union. How to open all the different types of legal ownership in Texas will be covered during this program.  You will receive your updated Texas Share Accounts Manual with over 700 pages of Texas laws and examples of how to open accounts.

  • NEW: Proposed changes on CTRs, new CIP rules on prepaid cards, which are effective immediately, and new student card rules effective July 1, 2016.
  • Opening single-party, multiple-party, and pay-on-death accounts
  • Receiving and using power-of-attorney documents
  • Opening uniform transfer to minors act
  • Opening Social Security representative payee accounts
  • Opening revocable and irrevocable formal trusts
  • Opening estates and guardianships
  • Rights at death on accounts
  • Opening business accounts
  • Changing signers and adding and deleting owners
  • Pending rules on beneficial ownership and transaction questions
