Shared Resources CU Receives Juntos Avanzamos Designation for Hispanic Outreach Efforts
Tuesday, May 21, 2013 6:20 AM

Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) officials on Monday designated Shared Resources Credit Union of Pasadena as a "Juntos Avanzamos" credit union and presented a Juntos flag to fly proudly, as a symbol to the local Hispanic community that the credit union has the capacity, commitment, and compassion to serve their financial needs.

TCUL President and CEO Dick Ensweiler joined Shared Resources President and CEO Stephanie Salazar and Board Chairman Joe Holzworth, TCUL International Relations Committee members Malcolm Rene and Liliana Canga, as well as other local dignitaries, in celebrating the achievement.

"We are delighted to see Shared Services Credit Union taking up the torch to demonstrate the credit union difference to local families," said Ensweiler. "It's been exciting to see everything the Shared Services team has done to make this day a reality and prepare to service the Hispanic families of this area."

Receiving the Juntos Avanzamos designation means that Shared Resources CU has demonstrated that it meets the rigorous standards of the Juntos Avanzamos program and offers top-quality services to Hispanic members, including:

  • Bilingual services and information;
  • Affordable products and services that fit the needs of Hispanic families; and
  • Important financial information to empower Hispanic families.

“It is an honor to receive the Juntos Avanzmos certification from the League," said Salazar. "We believe this is exactly in line with the vision of Shared Resources, which is ‘being the best at making life changes.’”
