Disaster Recovery

For the 11th straight year, Agility has partnered with the US Small Business Administration, FEMA, and the Ready Campaign in National Preparedness Month, an effort to promote preparedness to businesses and citizens across the US.

Agility’s theme this year is “Disaster Recovery Building Blocks.” In honor of that theme, we are presenting a series of brief educational webinars and an infographic focused on simple ways to take action. To preview Agility’s National Preparedness Month website, please visit

Webinar: "Recover from the Most Likely Disaster: Power Outage"
Date/Time: Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. CDT

Nearly 70 percent of businesses in the United States will lose power sometime in the next 12 months. According to a 2011 National Federation of Independent Business report, the number one business interruption experienced in the US was loss of power. However, with this type of threat so prevalent in today’s world, the majority of American organizations are woefully unprepared to withstand such an event, and recover from it quickly.

Since every organization has different power needs, it is important to know and understand your risk as well as your building’s power requirements. This information dense session will dive into the most resilient strategies to mitigate this threat and best practices for a swift and efficient recovery.

Webinar: "Protect Your Most Valuable Asset: Prepare Your Employees"
Date/Time: Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. CDT

Without question, most businesses will admit their most important assets are their employees. However most businesses take very little action to help their employees and their families prepare for, and recover from disasters. While data recovery and business continuity may form the backbone of a disaster recovery strategy, if employees are unable or unwilling to report to work, having your systems back on line may prove worthless.

This discussion will focus on the strategies and best practices for helping your employees prepare themselves and their families for a crisis. Without exaggeration, this information could literally change the future of your company, even protecting it from failure.

Webinar: "If You Do Nothing Else This Year..."
Date/Time: Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 p.m. CDT

With so much on the line, leaders simply cannot afford to overlook the risk disasters pose to their organizations and daily operations. However, simply starting a Disaster Recovery plan can seem overwhelming at first. But it doesn’t have to be.

During this session, we will address some simple ways to build your resilience as an organization today with minimal commitment of time and resources. If you do nothing else this year to protect your employees, clients, income, and the future of your organization, these steps should be a top priority.
