See the Latest Updates to Cornerstone Regulatory Grid
Friday, February 13, 2015 6:50 AM

Credit unions can now view the latest Cornerstone Credit Union League Regulatory Grid Summary. This informative summary gives you the most current details about federal and state comment calls for proposed rules and regulations.

New additions for your review include:

  1. The NCUA risk based capital proposal is still our hot topic, with a 4/27/15 comment deadline. In short, the second proposal is a significant improvement from the first proposal. However, a couple of issues remain that could use improvement, such as removing the timeframe for the consideration of goodwill rather than having it expire in 2025; supplemental capital; and the future of interest-rate risk. We continue to work with CUNA to gather feedback, and we should have some talking points available soon to assist CUs with writing their letters.
  2. CFPB issued a proposal that is largely positive in regard to the definitions of rural and underserved, relative to mortgage lending.
  3. NCUA has once again requested information from CUs regarding regulatory burdens.
