Campaign highlights CUs' good works and positive impact on consumers.

Wondering why so many attendees are taking selfie videos this year at the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference? They're all just doing their part to engage in the #CUdifference awareness campaign. You can get in on the action too!

The idea behind the campaign is simple:

  • Record a 15-second video of yourself or someone else on your mobile device;
  • Explain what not-for-profit, member-directed, locally focused credit union cooperatives mean to you;
  • End the video with the tagline, “and that’s the credit union difference;” and
  • Post the video on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #CUdifference.

CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle kicked off the campaign late last week with his initial video, which has quickly been followed by credit union members and staff across the country. Even Lisa Bodell, Monday’s keynote speaker, recorded her idea of what the credit union difference is.
