SCMS Graduating Class of 2017 Raises $45,000 for Cornerstone Foundation
Tuesday, July 25, 2017 7:00 AM

The SCMS Scholarship Fund, administered by the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation, helps students with expenses so they're able to attend the SCMS program. This year, the Foundation, in coordination with the SCMS Scholarship Committee, awarded more than $65,000 in scholarships to 40 percent of the student body, which included not only graduates but first- and second-year students as well.

During the 45th SCMS graduation last Thursday evening, the 38 students of the Class of 2017 donated $45,000 to the SCMS Scholarship Fund, paying it forward for those who follow in their footsteps. Fully 100 percent of the money raised goes to the fund.

"The Foundation is extremely grateful for the passion and dedication displayed by the Southwest CUNA Management School Class of 2017," says Foundation Executive Director Courtney Moran. "What better way to carry out the People Helping People philosophy than to provide opportunities for future students. We thank the SCMS graduates for making a difference in the lives of so many."

Plan now to be part of the SCMS Class of 2020, registration for which opens soon. Prospective students may visit for an information request form or to request advance notice of the opening of enrollment and scholarships for next summer’s school.
