SCMS Alumni Association Donates $20k to SCMS Scholarship Fund; Enrollment for Summer Session Open
Wednesday, May 14, 2014 6:25 AM

The Southwest CUNA Management School (SCMS) Alumni Association is donating $20,000 to the SCMS Scholarship Fund.  David Frith, City CU chief information officer and president of the alumni association, says they feel it important to make these funds available to SCMS students who might not otherwise be able to take advantage of the program.

Southwest CUNA Management School (SCMS) is a three-year program designed to develop and enhance leadership skills for credit union professionals. It provides an exceptional forum for networking with other credit union professionals; access to top industry experts, and the opportunity to ignite an inner passion and vision for personal and professional growth.

“The purpose of the alumni association is to promote the school and help SCMS students achieve their personal and professional development goals,” says Frith. “By supporting the scholarship fund, we are helping prepare credit union leaders for growth and success.”

According to Frith, the SCMS Golf Tournament is the alumni association’s biggest fundraising event, bringing in up to $10,000 annually. The 26th Annual Scholarship Golf Classic is being held July 24, at the Golf Club of Dallas.
